Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Six More Kids Busted For Carjackings As Teen Carjacking Rises Through DMV Six kids have been charged after detectives connected them to two recent carjacking cases. The teens were caught after officers witnessed two of the suspects running from an attempted carjacking in the 1900 block of County Road on the afternoon of Sunday, April 2, Prince George's County Police say. Officers were able to arrest the pair, who were identified as a 17-year-old boy from Temple Hills and a 16-year-old boy from Fort Washington. Man Killed After Crossing Into Opposite Lane In Suitland Crash One man is dead after a crash in Suitland over the weekend, authorities say. Emergency crews were called to the 5900 block of Allentown Road shortly after 1:30 a.m., Saturday, April 1 for reports of a two-vehicle collision, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. Investigators say that the victim was driving south on Allentown Road near Leon Street when he suddenly crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a sedan. One Killed In Parkville Shed Fire Under Investigation (Developing) At least one person was found dead inside a shed fire in Baltimore County, authorities say. The Baltimore County Fire Department responded to the 8600 block of Richmond Avenue for reports of a fire around 9:30 a.m., Monday, April 3. An initial sweep of the scene found an unidentified adult that was critically injured. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim passed away at the scene. Police have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire or released the name of the victim.

Retired Maryland Port Authority Employee Terry Allen Cappelli Sr. Of Dunadlk Dies A family and community are mourning the loss of a beloved member of the Maryland Port Authority, who tragically passed away late last month. Terry Allen Cappelli, Sr. passed away on Thursday, March 23, at a hospital in Baltimore at the age of 65. The beloved grandfather was a 1977 graduate of Dundalk Senior High School where he ran track and cross country, according to a GoFundMe created in his honor. Backup Called For Olney Barricade (Update) A residential area in Olney saw a large police presence after someone reportedly barricaded themself into a home this morning, authorities say. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue teams arrived on the scene of the barricade in the late morning hours of Monday, April 3 after additional assistance was called for by the Montgomery County Police Department. Drunk Man Who Caused Fatal Glen Burnie Pileup Had Child In Car A suspected drunk driver is in the hospital after causing a crash that killed one and seriously injured several others at a Glen Burnie intersection. Anne Arundel County Police believe that Pedro Balmore Baires Beltran, 35, was intoxicated when he drove up to the intersection of Ritchie Highway and Marley Station Road around 1 p.m., Sunday, April 2. Murder Suspect All Smiles After Baltimore Arrest A 21-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested after a double shooting that resulted in the death of a 32-year-old man earlier this month. Kishawn Brooks was taken into custody by the Baltimore Police Department's Warrant Apprehension Task Force around 6 a.m., Tuesday, March 28 during a traffic stop. Baltimore Police Investigating Mysterious Shooting Police are investigating a shooting in Baltimore that sent a 34-year-old man to the hospital. Baltimore police officers were called to an area hospital around 2 p.m., Friday, March 31 after receiving reports of a walk-in shooting victim. $25K Offered After Lanham Teen's Body Found Inside Vehicle The killer behind the murder of a Lanham teen is still on the run, police say. The Prince George’s County Police Department is actively looking to identify potential suspects responsible for the death of 16-year-old Eduardo Saucedo Olmos. The teen was found fatally shot in the 6400 block of Landover Road in Cheverly around 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 30. Olmos was found inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information about this murder. There are currently no known suspects or motives for the crime.

Young Man Kills Uncle In Lunchtime Argument, Prince George's County Police Say A 26-year-old man has been arrested after being accused of killing his uncle in Greenbelt. Prince George's County Police arrested Daquan White on the afternoon of Thursday, March 30 after he killed his uncle, 44-year-old Steven Mouring, during an argument. Police located the body of Mouring inside a vehicle in the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road around 1:50 p.m., and observed White running from the scene.
