More than 554,000 Kobalt yard power tools and batteries are being recalled because they can catch fire while charging.
Greenworks Tools issued the recall for about 554,780 Kobalt 24V and 48V tools and batteries, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, July 9. The recall includes trimmers, blowers, mowers, chainsaws, pruning saws, and other tools with USB-C batteries.

A 28-year-old Oxford woman was arrested and charged after she left her 1-year-old child unsupervised at a motel in Hanover Township, authorities announced Thursday, July 9.
On Friday, June 12, officers responded to the Extended Stay Motel after a guest found an unsupervised 1-year-old child in the hallway, Hanover Township police said. Parents are the top role models for children ages 4 to 12, according to a survey published Thursday, July 9, by Talker Research and commissioned by Kiddie Academy.
The survey of 2,000 parents found that children are most likely to look up to people in their everyday lives, according to Talker Research on behalf of Kiddie Academy.

Two employees of a Jersey Mike's in Mount Olive were arrested and charged stealing cash from a customer's wallet, authorities announced Thursday, July 9.
A customer told officers he left his wallet at Jersey Mike's on Friday, July 3 but when he contacted the business, they told him his wallet was not at the business, Mount Olive police said.
His wallet was eventually recovered and an investigation revealed two men, Isaiah Kali, a 21-year-old Succasunna resident and Brandon Grochulski, a 21-year-old Hopatcong resident were responsible for the theft, police said.

More than 2.5 million bottles of a prescription eye drop are being recalled nationwide because they may contain a foreign substance.
Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc. voluntarily recalled 2,530,182 bottles of Prednisolone Acetate Ophthalmic Suspension, USP, 1%, according to a Food and Drug Administration enforcement report. The recall affects 5 mL, 10 mL, and 15 mL bottles distributed across the US.
According to the FDA, the eye drops were recalled because of the "presence of a foreign substance."
