Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Man Shot In The Face In Parking Lot Of Dumfries Econolodge A 25-year-old man has been arrested after shooting a person in the face in a hotel parking lot in Dumfries, officials announced. Prince William County police were called to the Econolodge in Dumfries around 5:30 p.m., Sunday, March 26 after a 37-year-old man was shot in the face in the hotel parking lot. The victim was rushed to an area hospital where he was treated and is expected to survive. Three Found Shot Inside Several Homes In Severn, Police Say A young teen and two adults were found shot over the weekend inside several Severn homes, authorities announced. Police rushed to the 8200 block of Durness Court and the 8200 block of Monaegan Court after receiving reports of a shooting in the area around 9:40 p.m., Sunday, March 26, according to an Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesperson. Laurel Man Struck By Vehicle On Landover Hills Street Police have identified a man who was killed while walking on a Landover Hills street. Zelalem Yirga Adamu, 40, was reportedly struck around 1 a.m., Sunday, March 26 in the 6600 block of Annapolis Road, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.  Investigators say that the driver of the striking vehicle was traveling west when he struck Adamu in the roadway, killing him. The driver and the passenger of the striking vehicle were not injured in the crash.

Clinton Man Identified After Fatal Crash Into Woods Police have identified the Clinton man who was killed in a vehicle crash over the weekend. Roland Beach Jr., 48, has been identified as the victim in a crash that occurred on the night of Friday, March 24 in the 8100 block of Old Alexandria Ferry Road, according to Prince George's County Police Department. Emergency crews were called to the scene around 10 p.m., Friday night after receiving reports that a vehicle had lost control and crashed into the woods near the eastbound lanes of Old Alexandria Ferry Road. Teen Killed At Scene Of Baltimore Shooting, Police Confirm A teenage boy was killed in a shooting in Baltimore over the weekend, police say. Officers located the 19-year-old victim after receiving reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of East Preston Street shortly after 5 p.m., Friday, March 24. The teen was found with two gunshot wounds to the chest, and officers immediately began rendering aid.  Despite life-saving measures, the teen was pronounced dead at the scene a shot time later. Police have yet to identify any possible suspects or motives to the shooting.
