Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Baltimore Gunman Charged After Victim Shoots Him Back, Police Say A 31-year-old Baltimore man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting earlier this month in the city. Bryant Floyd was arrested after he was accused of shooting a 28-year-old man in the 3300 block of Brighton Street on Saturday, March 11, according to Baltimore police on Tuesday afternoon. Detectives say that after Floyd shot the victim, the victim pulled out a gun and returned fire, striking Floyd at least once. Upper Marlboro Man Checks Into Jail After Reportedly Robbing Several Hotels An Upper Marlboro man is staying in a different kind of suite after being accused of robbing several hotels in Prince George's County. Rodney Knight, 31, is believed to be responsible for the robberies of two hotels in September 2022, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. Jessup Man Accused Of Several Commercial Robberies A 40-year-old Jessup man has been arrested after being accused of several commercial robberies throughout Prince George's County, authorities announced. James Kareen Day was indicted on Thursday, March 16 for four separate armed robberies dating back to December 2022, according to Prince George's County police. Didn't Get Away This Time: Three Car Thieves Busted After Being Spotted In Pasadena Three people were arrested after being busted in a stolen vehicle in Pasadena, authorities say. Baltimore Shooting Victim Drives Away For Help After Being Struck A man is recovering after being shot overnight in Baltimore, police say. The 37-year-old man had reportedly been shot in the 2400 block of Etting Street around 4 a.m., Tuesday, March 21 before driving away to notify police, according to Baltimore detectives. Officers were able to locate the victim in the 2000 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway. Body Found In Container Confirmed To Be Missing 75-Year-Old Versey Spell Baltimore Police have identified the body found in a container as that of a missing 75-year-old woman. Versey Spell was reported missing to authorities in October 2022, according to Baltimore police. On Tuesday, March 7, Spell's body was found inside a container in the 3900 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. Ms. Spell was last seen at her home in the 3900 block of Barrington Road in October 2022.
