17 Firearms, High-Capacity Mags Seized In Raid Of Morris County Man's Home: Prosecutor
A 54-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged on Tuesday, Feb. 6 with possessing and selling defaced firearms, authorities said.
Robert Klaar sold the defaced gun in Denville in January 2024, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally and Denville Chief of Police Frank Perna said.

The raid of an Ocean County home turned up heroin, methamphetamine and ammunition, leading to the arrest of four people, authorities said.
This investigation identified a residence in Berkeley Township as being utilized by Anthony Isola, 49, of Bayville, to store and sell drugs, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Based upon reliable information received, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and Berkeley Township Police Department initiated surveillance on the subject residence in Bayville on Tuesday, Oct. 24.

Taser-Armed Target Shoplifter Cornered, Captured By Police In Bergen, Authorities Say
A possibly armed shoplifter who was confronted by police outside a Target in Closter dropped two bundles of merchandise and took off on foot, authorities said.
Keith Primm, 29, of the Bronx had just exited the Closter Plaza store when the officers pulled up, Lt. Vincent Aiello said.
A caller had told police that Primm, who was also carrying a backpack, was “possibly displaying a weapon,” the lieutenant added.

A 44-year-old Phillipsburg man was arrested for selling heroin, crack-cocaine, and other drugs, authorities announced Thursday.
Paul Smith III was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute heroin, second-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, two counts of distributing heroin, and obstruction, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said.
Smith’s arrest was the result of a five-week investigation by the WCPO narcotics task force, which carried out a search warrant at his home on the 400 block of South Main Street, Pfeiffer said.

Jason M. Milak was seen driving a work van before burglarizing a home on River Road in Branchburg Township on Monday, May 9, Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart said in a release alongside local officials on Wednesday, June 22.

A wanted Rochelle Park man was arrested and his young child placed with a guardian after police caught the dad trying to discard a bag of crack, authorities said.
Sharod Naji Gandy, 33, had actually gone to Rochelle Park police headquarters on his own to file a police report on an unrelated matter on Sunday, April 17, Detective Lt. James M. DePreta said.

A Hopatcong woman was found with nearly a dozen heroin folds after crashing into a telephone pole in Sussex County Sunday night, authorities said.
Alyssa Gessner, 25, crashed into the pole on Stanhope Road in Sparta around 9:15 p.m., Lt. John Lamon said in a Monday release.
A follow-up investigation found that Gessner was under the influence of heroin during the crash, Lamon said.
Meanwhile, Gessner was found with 11 wax folds of heroin, as well as drug paraphernalia, police said.

A North Jersey man with several prior criminal convictions was intoxicated when he crashed into a rock wall in front of a Morris County home earlier this week.
Kevin R. Fenty, 30, was driving a Nissan Altima on Drakestown Road in Long Valley when he struck the wall shortly before 1 a.m. Jan. 5, Mount Olive police said.
