Student Pilot Botches Landing At Blairstown Airport: Police
A small plane was damaged when a student pilot botched the landing at a New Jersey airport Monday morning, Nov. 20. The student was trying to land the single-engine Cessna 172N alongside the flight instructor at Blairstown Airport around 10:15 a.m., according to the FAA. However, the plane's wing struck the ground, and the aircraft slid off the runway several feet, Blairstown Police Chief Scott Johnsen said. Neither the student nor the pilot were injured. Pilot Survives Blairstown Crash Landing
A pilot was left with minor injuries after a glider plane crash landed into a Blairstown field Sunday, July 23, authorities said. Blairstown Police responded to the crash into a field near Vail Road around 2 p.m., Chief Scott Johnsen told Daily Voice. Motorcyclist Ejected, Killed In Route 94 Crash
A motorcyclist was ejected and killed in a weekend crash with a Honda on Route 94 in Warren County, police confirmed. The crash occurred just before 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, Blairstown Police Chief Scott Johnsen told DailyVoice.com. A four-door Honda sedan was stopped at Vail Road and Rt. 94 and did not see the motorcyclist before attempting to make a left turn, Johnsen said. Pilot, 70, Killed As Glider Plane Crashes In North Jersey
The 70-year-old pilot of a glider plane was killed as the aircraft flipped and crashed into a field in North Jersey, authorities confirmed. Officers responding to the crash report near the Blairstown Airport saw the glider plane upside down in a grassy area near the airport just before 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, the Blairstown Township Police Department said in a Monday release. A Warren County high school was placed under lockdown Wednesday morning, police said. Blairstown Township Police conducted a thorough search of the interior and exterior school grounds of North Warren Regional High School as the lockdown was initiated around 10:20 a.m., the department said. Blairstown PD: Overdose Victim Revived
A man overdosing on suspected heroin was revived by emergency medical technicians in Blairstown, authorities said. The man was found unresponsive laying against a bathroom door (blocking entry) at a house on State Highway 94 when police responded on Sept. 29 just before 6 p.m., local police said in a news release.
