A Connecticut man is facing multiple felony charges after state police say he caused a violent crash that left a 74-year-old woman seriously hurt and then ran away before authorities arrived.
Gregory White, 43, of North Stonington, was charged with reckless driving, evading responsibility in an incident that caused serious physical injury, failure to drive in the proper lane, second-degree assault causing serious physical injury with a weapon, and first-degree reckless endangerment, Connecticut State Police said. He turned himself in on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

A high-speed police chase that spanned several Connecticut towns on Sunday, Dec. 29, ended with two people in custody, Connecticut State Police said.
The incident began when Newington police responded to an armed robbery at Lowe's on the Berlin Turnpike just after 8:20 a.m., according to Newington police. The suspects, later identified as Scott A.
