Police have identified the 58-year-old man killed in a crash early on Wednesday morning in Prince William County. Dumfries resident Kenneth Jacobs died shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16 in Triangle after a wild single-vehicle crash, according to investigators. Detectives were called to the area of Graham Park Road and Woodland Drive in Triangle on Wednesday morning, where they determined that a 2009 Ford Fusion was speeding on Graham Park Road when Jacobs lost control while navigating a turn. Crash Slows Traffic Along I-264 In Virginia Beach
A vehicle crash was slowing traffic along I-264 in Virginia Beach Wednesday morning, Aug. 16. The accident happened on the eastbound side at mile marker 20.8 near near Lynnhaven Parkway, just before 8:30 a.m., the VDOT website says. Photos at the scene show fire engines and emergency response vehicles. Motorists can expect delays with the east center lane, right center lane, and right outside lane closed.

Detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department are investigating a crash on Route 50 involving four vehicles that was sparked by one reckless driver who ping-ponged through traffic. The SCC has opened public comment and scheduled hearings on its proposal to increase tolls on the Dulles Greenway to $8.10 during peak hours, up from $5.80 and $6.40 during off-peak hours, up from $5.25. Driver Dies In Route 250 Bypass Crash In Alberbarle County: Police
A driver died in an Albermarle County crash on the Route 250 Bypass Thursday, Aug. 10, police said. The crash happened around 8:15 a.m., on the westbound side of the Route 250 Bypass near the exit ramp for Route 601, police said. The driver was declared dead at the scene. A crash that left a propane tanker overturned sent three people to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon, July 26 on I-395 in Arlington.
