Virginia State Police investigators have identified the Manassas woman who was killed after being ejected from a vehicle last week on I-77. Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, Thomas Southard, 67, was driving Pamela Stewart, 69, when he lost control on the interstate in Carroll County and crashed near the three-mile marker, officials say. A 60-year-old man has died at the hospital more than a week after he was struck by a driver at a Prince William County intersection, police say. Muhammad Moinuddin Bhuiyan was hit by Toyota TC shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12 in the area of Hoadly Road and Queen Chapel Drive in Woodbridge as he was crossing the road outside of the crosswalk. Some commuters in DC are up in arms as the WMATA closes down certain Red Line trains to allow for necessary repairs during the holiday season. Police say that speed is likely a factor in a crash that left a 21-year-old man dead in Fairfax County on Sunday morning.
