Virginia Provider Fired For Refusing To Provide Contraceptives, Abortion Pills, Sues CVS
A Virginia nurse practitioner has filed a lawsuit against the CVS drug store chain after she says she was fired from the Alexandria MinuteClinic for refusing to provide certain contraceptive or abortion-inducing pills to customers, reports 7News. Paige Casey filed the lawsuit in the Prince William County Circuit Court, with her attorneys stating that she was fired after "following the teaching of her Catholic faith" which they claim prohibits her from providing, prescribing, or facilitating the use of anything that could cause and abortion.
