56-Year-Old Woman Dies In Alexandria Hit-And-Run Crash: Police A hit-and-run driver killed a 56-year-old Alexandria woman as she crossed a street in Fairfax County on Wednesday night, July 6, authorities said.  Doris Anita McPhail was hit as she walked in the 5600 block of Richmond Highway near Huntington Avenue around 10:30 p.m., Fairfax County police said. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, but she died of her injuries early Thursday morning.  Investigators said McPhail was crossing the road outside a crosswalk in a poorly lit area when a 2007 Toyota Camry slammed into her and sped away. Police Identify 54-Year-Old Driver Who Died In Triangle Crash Weeks Ago Police say they've identified the driver who died in a single-vehicle crash in Triangle two weeks ago.  Timothy Dewaine Gunn, 54, of Dumfries, died when his car crashed off of Graham Park Road on June 11, Prince William County police said. Gunn lost control of his 2007 Toyota Camry around 3:30 a.m. when it crossed into oncoming traffic, smashed into a tree, and burst into flames. Virginia Man Dies In Maryland Crash A Virginia man has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Maryland over the weekend, authorities say. Rene Rivas Quinteros, 45, from Winchester, Virginia was killed when the vehicle he was in struck a tree on the 28540 block of Ridge Road around 8:15 a.m., Saturday, June 18, according to Montgomery County Police. The driver of the 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling southbound when it crossed the northbound lanes, leaving the roadway and hitting the tree for unknown reasons.
