Serious Crash Causes Closure On Route 9A In Ossining Part of a well-traveled section of road in Northern Westchester is closed as police investigate a serious crash.  Route 9A southbound in Ossining is currently closed just north of Route 134, Ossining Police announced on Thursday, Aug. 22 around 1:45 p.m.  The roadway will be closed for an "extended period" as the department investigates a crash.  More information about the incident has not yet been released.  This is a developing story. Vehicle Catches On Fire On New Tappan Zee Bridge In Tarrytown, Impacts Traffic A vehicle fire impacted traffic on the new Tappan Zee Bridge off the shore of Westchester County.  The blaze happened on Thursday, Aug. 22 just before 11 a.m., when a truck caught on fire in the northbound lanes of I-87 on the bridge near the Tarrytown shore, according to the New York State Thruway Authority.  The incident temporarily caused the left lane to be completely blocked.
