Driver Injured After Car Overturns On Hudson Valley Roadway A driver was hospitalized following a rollover crash on a busy Hudson Valley road.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Monday afternoon, July 22, when an Acura flipped on Milltown Road in the village of Brewster near the Connecticut border, according to the Brewster Fire Department.  Arriving first responders found the driver trapped inside the vehicle and were able to free her before taking her to Danbury Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The crash closed Milltown Road on Monday as the scene was cleared, the department said.

Driver Crashes Into Bear On Route 8 In Torrington Although a driver emerged without injuries after colliding with a bear on a busy Connecticut highway, the animal did not fare the same. Lane Closure Impacts Busy Northern Westchester Road A busy roadway in Northern Westchester is being impacted by a lane closure and alternating traffic. Route 139 between Plum Brook Road and Van Rensselaer Road in Somers will be reduced to one lane on Monday, July 22 between 2:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  During the closure, the affected stretch of road will have alternating traffic controlled by flaggers.  The lane reduction will allow for utility work.
