Legendary NJ Sportswriter Jim Hague Dead At 62
Jim Hague's byline was a fixture on the sports pages of New Jersey newspapers. The renowned journalist and Jersey City native died on Sunday, June 11 at the age of 62, according to his obituary. Hague was a sports fanatic at a young age and always dreamed of being a sportswriter, when he used to write the recaps of his own games, his obituary reads. He graduated St. Peter's Prep in 1979 and studied journalism at Marquette University, according to his obituary. Bill Banning Transgender Girls From Girls' Sports Races Toward Pennsylvania Senate
A bill banning transgender girls from participating in girls' school sports is making was passed by the Pennsylvania House on Tuesday, April 12. Now heading to the Senate, the bill — passed in an 115-84 vote —would ban "students of the male sex" from playing on all-girls teams. A spokesperson for Democratic Gov. Americans who are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 will soon be able to stop wearing masks indoors in most places, the Associated Press reported Thursday. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is apparently set to issue new guidance on indoor mask-wearing, encouraging face coverings in crowded indoor areas only, the AP said citing a CDC source. Democrat Joe Biden won Pennsylvania Saturday morning, putting him on the path to becoming the 46th president of the United States. A budding marijuana industry is here to stay in New Jersey. The Associated Press called the race just after 9:39 p.m., with approximately 67 percent of voters in favor of the ballot question, 32 percent against it and 57 percent of votes counted.
