Police in Passaic County have arrested a man who they say stole a $1,400 vehicle programming tool from a victim he met on Facebook marketplace. Jayson Moralessales, of Orange, agreed to meet the suspect in person to buy the tool, but instead, fled with the item without paying on Oct. 5, police in Bloomingdale said. Motorcyclist, 39, Killed In Sussex County Crash
A 39-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a Sussex County crash over the weekend. Frank Jimeno, of West New York, was heading north on Route 23 on a KTM motorcycle when he veered off the side of the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail in Montague Township at milepost 50 Sunday, Oct. 6 around 10:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Jimeno died as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation.

Man Took Video Of Girl In Shower: Guttenberg PD
A 46-year-old Guttenberg man was arrested and charged on Sunday, Oct. 6 with taking a video of his ex-girlfriend's young daughter exiting the shower, authorities said. The girl's mother said she went through her ex-boyfriend's cell phone and found a video of her daughter exiting the shower, completely nude, Guttenberg police said in a release. A vehicle went off the roadway on Route 80 in Morris County on the morning of Monday, Oct. 7, authorities said. The vehicle left the roadway on Route 80 eastbound at Exit 47A in Parsippany-Troy Hills, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. One lane is closed, the Department of Transportation said. Mohammad Abdeljawad, of North Bergen, was being held by a group of people when officers arrived to the Terrace Avenue hotel in Hasbrouck Heights on Sunday, Sept. 29, Lt. John Behr said. A 36-year-old Newark man was convicted on Friday, Sept. 27, of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter over the course of three years, authorities said. The man’s identity is being withheld to protect the privacy of the victim, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II said. The girl, now 16, testified against her stepfather and said the abuse began when she was 11 and continued until she was 14, Stephens said. Motorcyclist, 19, Killed In Crash With Pickup Truck In Linden
A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Thursday night, Oct. 3 in Linden, police said. The Brooklyn, NY man was heading south on a 2022 BMW motorcycle when he struck a 2012 Ford F150 as it was making the turnaround to travel north at the Phillips 66 Domestic Trades entrance around 11:30 p.m., local police said. Angely Betancourt has been charged with reckless death by auto and causing death while driving unlicensed in the July 4, 2022 crash that left one person dead on Route 287 southbound access ramp to Route 78 west in Bedminster, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office said. 18-Year-Old Missing After Attending Soccer Game: West Orange Police
An 18-year-old West Orange teenager has been reported missing, authorities said. Gideon Akwei was last seen at his residence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 after attending a West Orange High School soccer game, West Orange police said. The next morning, his parents checked on him and noticed he was not in his bedroom, police said.
