Police: Freeport Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Firing Shot During Hempstead Argument A Freeport man has been charged with attempted murder after Nassau County Police say he fired a shot at a third party who intervened during an argument with a woman overnight in Hempstead. It happened at around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, police said.
