Three New York men will spend years in prison for kidnapping a man and subjecting him to nearly 24 hours of torture during which they repeatedly beat the victim, stomped his head, and encouraged a dog to bite him.
Long Island residents Dwayne Henderson, age 26, and Danny Harrell, age 21, both of Nassau County, were sentenced to 25 years to life in prison in Schenectady County Court on Monday, Aug. 14, following convictions for attempted murder and kidnapping.

A Long Island man was sentenced after a months-long investigation into child pornography and coercion crimes.
Bradley Garyn, age 29, of Melville, was sentenced on Monday, Nov. 21, to an indeterminate prison term of five to 15 years, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced.

More than three years after a 16-year-old boy was fatally stabbed during a brawl outside of a Long Island strip mall, a jury has delivered its verdict in the case.
Tyler Flach, now 21, was found guilty on all charges, including second-degree murder, by a Nassau County jury on Tuesday, Nov. 1 in the September 2019 killing of Khaseen Morris in Oceanside.

Man Accused Of Raping Long Island 13-Year-Old He Met On Snapchat
A man has been apprehended after police say he raped a teenager he conversed with on Snapchat.
Andrew Ramsaroop, age 30, of Queens, then met the victim at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove on Friday, May 13 during which he attempted to have the victim and her friend enter his vehicle, but they refused, Suffolk County Police said.
Later that day, the victim met with Ramsaroop at a playground on Devonshire Road in Hauppauge, said police.
During the encounter, Ramsaroop raped the victim, according to police.
