Long Island Man Driving Nearly Twice Speed Limit Charged With DWI, Sheriff Says A late-night speeding stop of a driver going nearly double the posted speed limit on Long Island led to a DWI for an allegedly intoxicated man, the Suffolk County Sheriff said. Suffolk County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped Brentwood resident Jonathan Sosa, 28, at approximately 2:13 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, when he was caught driving more than 55 mph in a posted 30 mph zone on Suffolk Avenue in Brentwood.
