Town Employee Stole Hundreds Of Gallons Of Diesel Fuel On LI, DA Says A Wading River man who worked for the Town of Brookhaven for nearly three decades is facing charges for allegedly stealing hundreds of gallons of diesel fuel from town facilities over the course of several years. Daniel Curtin, 50, who has been employed with the town’s Highway Department for approximately 29 years, was arrested this week for allegedly stealing 510 gallons of diesel fuel that was used for a heater in his garage, Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini announced.
