Tree Blown Into Lambertville Garage With Homeowner Inside: Firefighters
A Lambertville homeowner received quite the scare when a large tree crushed his garage while he was inside of it on Monday, March 11, authorities said. City of Lambertville Fire District #1 Strong winds were to blame for the tree blowing over at 3:08 p.m., the City of Lambertville Fire District #1 said on Facebook. A Pennsylvania man was airlifted to a nearby trauma center with a serious head injury after diving into the Lambertville Wing Dam on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 27, authorities said. Crews responded to the dam on reports of a man with a head laceration around 3:50 p.m. and found a man in his 30s who had walked out from the dam and up to the canal path, Lambertville City Police Lt. Two Lambertville men were charged after allegedly scamming more than $80,000 from a senior living resident in Bridgewater, authorities said Thursday, June 22. Sanders J. Fire crews in Hunterdon County made quick work of a large vehicle fire that broke out in Lambertville Wednesday evening. Members of the West Amwell Fire Company responded to the blaze on Rocktown Lambertville Road just before 4:45 p.m., the department said in a Facebook post. Fire crews stretched 200 feet of fire hose to help douse the blaze, which was placed under control within 20 minutes, authorities said. Additional crew members arrived at the scene to assist with overhaul, and all units were cleared by around 5:40 p.m., authorities said.
