Police are seeking clues after a legendary elk statue that stands in front of a well-known charity lodge was vandalized with graffiti. The vandalism occurred in front of the Flemington Elks Lodge on Route 31 late on Saturday, May 7, according to Dave Norton, owner of The Corner boutique and photography studio located just down the road at 52 Main St. The word “devil” appears to have been scrawled across the statue in red paint. Another Drive-Thru Chipotle Opens In North Jersey Another drive-thru Chipotle restaurant has opened its doors in North Jersey. The new location — complete with a drive-thru Chipotlane — opened Dec. 30 at 287 Rt. 202 in Flemington. The fast-casual Mexican eatery is open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Clarence fought in the Korean War within a segregated US Army unit and later became among the first black employees in his home country’s park system.
