9/11 First Responder, Marine Corps Veteran Scott Donnenberg Of Hunterdon County Dies, 49 9/11 first responder, proud Marine Corps veteran, and devoted father Scott Matthew Donnenberg died at his Hunterdon County home on Thursday, Jan. 19. He was 49. Born in Livingston, Scott grew up in Parsippany before moving to Glen Gardner and eventually settling in Clinton, his obituary says. Scott was a US Marine Corps Veteran and “loved being a Marine,” reads his memorial. While he spent most of his career as the owner of an Environmental Health & Safety business, he also volunteered as a firefighter and EMT in several towns across the state and was a 9/11 first responder. Lyndhurst PD: Vandal Damages 9/11 Monument A police lieutenant caught a vandal damaging a new 9/11 memorial in Lyndhurst, authorities said. Alfredo Acevedo, 27, was throwing decorative river stone from the newly erected monument at its decorative wall, the replica stone twin towers and a steel beam from Ground Zero when Lt. James Goral and a patron at Town Hall Park spotted him, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said. Goral arrested Acevedo, whose last known address was in Clifton.
