Two North Jersey Lotto Players Split $150K Jackpot It was a terrific Thursday for two North Jersey lottery players. Tickets sold in Hudson County and Passaic County matched all five numbers in the Jersey Cash 5 drawing on Thursday, July 25, splitting the $150,000 jackpot, earning eah player $75,000. Office Manager Embezzled $350K From North Jersey Synagogue, Feds Say A 51-year-old Scotch Plains woman is charged with embezzling more than $350,000 from a Union County synagogue she worked at, authorities said. In 2010, Stacy Margaritondo began working at Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains and was later promoted to bookkeeper and office manager in July 2020, U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said. New Union City Bus Garage, Terminal Moving Forward: NJ Transit NJ Transit is moving forward with plans for a new bus garage and terminal in Union City after being approved by NJ Transit's Board of Directors. The project, which has entered the design phase, will be a state-of-the-art bus facility to store and charge electric buses and be a service facility for bus cleaning, maintenance and inspection, along with a terminal for passengers, NJ Transit said. Somerville Man Vandalized Bridgewater Mosque: Police A 29-year-old Somerville man was arrested and charged on Monday, July 22, with vandalizing the Al Falah Center in Bridgewater, authorities said. At 6:34 p.m., Julian Dale drove onto the property of the mosque at 881 US Highway 202/206, before leaving a short time later, Bridgewater police said. At 7 p.m., a mosque employee observed bias graffiti spray painted on a pillar near the main entrance to the building, police said.
