Hit-Run Crash Victim 'Rapidly Deteriorated' Just Before Hospital Release, Alexandria Police Say A 70-year-old Alexandria man who was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle died days after his release, authorities said. James Thomson, of Alexandria, was found lying at the intersection of North Jordan Street and Taney Avenue with an injury to the back of his head on Thursday, May 9, police said. Thomson told responders he'd been struck by a car and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Police Hope Public Can ID Man Who Robbed Woodbridge Store Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a Woodbridge convenience store on Thursday, June 2.  The man walked into the Exxon store at 4255 Seeton Square around 9:30 a.m. wearing a mask and pulled out a gun, the Prince William County police said. He demanded money and then ran away.  Police sent K-9 officers to the scene, but the robber got away. No one got hurt in the robbery.  The man is described as 5-feet 8-inches tall with a slim build.
