$15M Project Will Replace 60-Year-Old Bridge In Arlington, Public Urged To Weigh In The public is being urged to weigh in on a $15 million project planned to replace a 60-year-old bridge in Arlington. The North Old Glebe Road bridge over North Glebe Road (Route 120) was built in 1964 and today, averages 7,000 vehicles a day, the VDOT said. Rehabilitating the bridge would cost 9.75 million, and so, the county has opted to fully replace it. The new bridge will feature a wider sidewalk on the eastern side and an additional sidewalk on the western side. Shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, crews were called to the 4600 block of Fairfax Drive to investigate a reported natural gas leak that was emanating the scent throughout downtown Ballston.
