Expectant Father, Navy Sailor From Virginia Tanner Huffman Dies Suddenly, 22 Tanner Huffman, a former baseball player from northern Virginia turned Navy sailor, died on Saturday, Aug. 26. Tanner Huffman, 22, played baseball for Massapnoax High School before serving the U.S. as a member of the Navy — following in his father's footsteps, according to his obituary. Tanner, of Colonial Beach and Fredericksburg, met his wife, Heather, while stationed in Japan, his obit says. They two were expecting a daughter, Kamryn June, together in October, the obituary says. Honda Recalling More Than 330K Vehicles Due To Fault Side-View Mirrors Honda is recalling hundreds of thousands of vehicles that may have faulty side-view mirrors that could increase the potential risk of a crash for drivers. The Japanese auto giant announced this week that it is recalling more than 330,000 Odyssey, Passport, Pilot, and Ridgeline models that were produced between 2020 and 2022 due to the issue. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mirrors may not be properly bonded to the vehicle, causing the glass in the mirror to fall out and limiting visibility for motorists. Norfolk resident Donald Gene Ferguson II, 51, was convicted by a federal jury on charges of abusive sexual contact with a minor while working, as a civilian DoD employee in Iwakuni, Japan.
