Man Shoots Himself In Foot At Virginia Gun Show, Police Say A man who was attending the Nation's Gun Show in Chantilly allegedly shot himself in the foot, by accident, reports said.  Just before 4 p.m. on Sept. 30, officers heard a gunshot at the gun show, and located the man who had been shot in the foot, police said. The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and law enforcement ruled the shooting accidental, authorities reported. No one else was injured at the gun show, but police continued to investigate the incident, sources said.

At around 4 p.m. on Oct. 2, law enforcement was called to the parking lot in the Fair Lakes Shopping Center to investigate the incident, the website said. 22-Year-Old Shot Dead In DC, Police Offer 25K Reward For Information D.C. police are investigating a recent homicide of a 22-year-old, officials said. On Oct. 2, Antonio Waller was shot in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street, at around noon, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.  Officials said Waller was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone with information on the suspect, or suspects, that would lead to their arrest, authorities said. Leesburg Substitute Teacher Dealt Assault Charges For Throwing Student Out Of Class: Police A substitute teacher allegedly failed to behave in a Leesburg classroom, police said. On Sept. 16, Hans Mirzaei, a 68-year-old substitute teacher at Tuscarora High School, forcefully kicked a student out of class, according to the Leesburg Police Department.  After law enforcement investigated the incident, Mirzaei was charged with  one misdemeanor count of assault and battery, authorities reported. He was issued a summons on Oct. 2 and later released, officials said.  Police said the victim was not harmed during the incident.

Alexandria Residents Stopped From Bringing Handguns Aboard DCA Flight: TSA Two people were unable to carry their personal handguns on a flight leaving from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, officials reported. On Sept. 29, a woman was stopped with her .380 caliber gun, that was not loaded, and a man was stopped with his nine millimeter handgun, loaded with 14 bullets, according to TSA. The man also had an extra 14 bullets with him, authorities said. TSA said the two incidents were not related. After each incident, both individuals had their guns taken away and were dealt weapons charges by law enforcement, officials said.
