27-Year-Old Killed By Allentown Police Identified The man shot and killed by police in Allentown early on Monday, July 24 has been identified as 27-year-old Dominick Hogans.  Hogans was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest around 4:30 a.m., said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio in a release.  City police said they were called to the corner of 6th and Turner streets around 3:40 a.m. for reports of a "male waving a firearm." Officers said the man "fled on foot" after they arrived and a chase ensued.  Authorities claim the man "brandished a firearm and fired at officers" before they "returned fire, striking the suspect."
