Major Philadelphia Flyers fan Gregory Brian Collier of Haddon Township died. He was 44 years old, according to an obituary published by Healey Funeral Home. Family and friends were invited to wear the professional hockey team's orange and black colors at his Saturday, Jan. 6 visitation and prayer service. And according to his mother, Peggy Collier, "almost everybody did." Greg died on Dec. 30, 2023, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees after a long illness. He suffered from Myotonic Dystrophy. Navy Sailor Missing For Days Found Dead
New Jersey native and active-duty Navy sailor Ethan F. Sabatini-Villafane, 23, was found dead in Virginia on Monday, March 7 — five days after he had been reported missing, several news outlets say. No foul play was suspected. Born in Voorhees, Sabatini graduated from Cleaview High School in 2017, his obituary says. Sabatini then joined the Military and became an active-duty U.S. Navy Sailor AT3 stationed in Norfolk, Virginia — his “greatest devotion,” his memorial says. Missing Underage NJ Girl Rescued From Sex Trafficking Trio
An underage girl who'd been reported missing was rescued from a trio of South Jersey human traffickers who were prostituting her, authorities said. Marquise Ogawa, 28, Chyaire Lee, 26, and Jazmin Scott, 21, all of Lawnside, were being held in the Camden County Correctional Facility in Camden, charged with various child prostitution, trafficking and endangerment counts. A South Jersey doctor was sentenced Monday to two years in federal prison for stealing more than $500,000 from his previous employer and using it to pay his bills. Walter Sytnik, 35, of Voorhees, forged checks for five years from checks he stole from the medical practice where he worked as a bookkeeper before going to medical school, U.S. Attorney Philip R.
