A man accused of attempted murder in Delaware County stole a car out of a Berks County driveway early Tuesday morning, Jan. 2, state police say. Troopers found an abandoned GMC in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County around 4:30 a.m., they wrote in a release. The last known driver of the car was 29-year-old Umar Kimel Presbery, who was wanted by Tinicum Township police for attempted homicide and assault, authorities said. Brandon Gentile Charged With Homicide Of Tom Hartenstine
A high-speed race between two young men ended with one dead and the other charged with homicide by vehicle, according to an update by police issued on Friday, Dec. 29. Brandon Caleb Gentile, 20, of Coatesville, has had a slew of charges leveled against him in connection with the crash that left 22-year-old Thomas "Tom" Austin Hartenstine, of Manor Township, Lancaster dead on June 4. Gentile was driving a white Subaru and Hartenstine was riding a Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle when the two supposedly began street racing on Route 30 East, a witness told the police. …

Woman Struck Near Home On Halloween Dies, Pennsylvania State Police Say
A 61-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Friday, Nov. 3. Christine Stewart of Hershey suffered head trauma, lost consciousness, and later died at Hershey Medical Center on Oct. 31, state police detailed. She had been walking on the edge of the road near her home on Dogwood Drive with she was struck by an 85-year-old woman's blue 2012 Subaru Impreza, according to the release. A woman was hurt when her car slammed into a firetruck on Tuesday, authorities announced on July 27, 2023. Hundreds of thousands of Subaru SUVs are the latest vehicles subject to a nationwide recall due to the potential they could unexpectedly catch fire. The auto giant announced a recall of 271,694 Subaru Ascent SUVs with produced in the 2019 through 2022 model years due to a faulty electrical grounding bolt that may have been improperly fastened, according to the company. Swatara Crews Rescue Driver, Vehicle Hanging Over Embankment
Firefighters in Swatara worked to lift a car that had tumbled down a small embankment and struck another vehicle parked at a car dealership. Rescue91 posted photos of the scene on the 3300 block of Paxton Street Wednesday, where the vehicle had apparently struck a car parked at the Subaru dealership.
