Action News has released the names of the pilot and team photographer killed in a helicopter crash Tuesday night, Dec. 19 in New Jersey. Monroe Smith, 67, of Glenside, PA, was the pilot, and Christopher Dougherty, 45, of Oreland, PA, was the photographer, according to the news station. A 22-year-old pilot was killed in a Cape May County plane crash early Saturday, July 16, authorities said. Thomas Gibson was the sole occupant of the single-engine Piper PA-12 that crashed into a field near Paramount Air Airport around 9:40 a.m., the FAA and Middle Township police said. The Ocean City resident was pronounced dead at the scene. One person was injured in a helicopter crash at Lancaster Airport Saturday morning, county dispatch told local news outlets. A K-Copters 47G-2 helicopter crashed at Lititz airport, at 11:30 a.m., according to the FAA. Two people were on board. Helicopter Pilot Injured In Reigle Airport Crash
A helicopter crashed at Reigle Airport in South Londonderry Township left one man injured on Saturday. Emergency crews were called to the airport for the crash around 6 p.m. and remained on the scene for four hours.
