A street racing driver that police say caused a fiery head-on crash in the Lehigh Valley area is facing felony charges. Nyjah A. Golphin, 24, was charged with felony aggravated assault by vehicle, reckless endangerment, racing on highways, and several other motor vehicle offenses, Palmer Township Police said in a release on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The charges stem from a head-on crash near Vanburen Road on Main Street in Palmer Township on Saturday, May 21, police said. 7 People Hospitalized Following Crash In Lititz
Seven people were injured following a crash into a tree in Lititz, area police announced on Thursday, September 15. The crash happened in the 300 Block of South Broad Street/State Route 501 at 6:21 p.m. on Sept. 1, according to Lititz Borough police. A man driving the van picture exited the left lane for an unknown reason and "struck a tree which was located adjacent to the roadway," police say. A 30-year-old Pennsylvania man hit a utility pole and a home— with people inside— and then sped off, police say. Kyle M. Rissel, of Denver, veered off the road in the 800 block of South Ridge Road around 11:15 p.m. on Apr. 14, East Cocalico Township police state in the department’s release. A Pennsylvania woman and six juveniles were arrested during a party where alcohol was being served to minors, authorities said. Melissa Marie Ferrell, 43, was accused of providing alcohol to the children at her Stevens home on Feb. 25, East Cocalico Township police said. Officers were called to the home on the 100 block of East Church Street just before 10 p.m., on reports of an underage drinking party, police said. Lancaster Man Threatens To 'Blow Up' Court In 12 Harrassing Phone Calls, Police Say
A 40-year-old Lancaster man with a pending court case was arrested after calling court employees 12 times and threatening to "blow the place up," authorities said. Ryan W. Bunting called was using foul language while speaking to the District Court employees regarding a pending case, Manheim Township Police Department said.
