A Pennsylvania social media influencer who was stabbed while confronting two men he accused of targeting children is now facing charges stemming from the New York brawl, court records show.
Nicholas Attalla, known online as “Niky Sal,” was arrested on Friday, Sept. 4, on charges of third-degree assault, second-degree criminal nuisance, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Attalla, of Erie, was arraigned that day and pleaded not guilty, according to online court records.

Electric Scooter Rider Dies Days After PA Crash, Coroner Says
An electric scooter rider has died more than a week after he lost control and struck his head on a Pennsylvania roadway, authorities announced on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Cory R. Smith, 33, of Allentown, was riding near North 16th and West Liberty streets in Allentown when he crashed around 3:20 p.m. on Aug. 28, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
Smith was not wearing a helmet when he struck his head on the roadway, the coroner’s office said.
He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 10:22 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6.

A 20-year-old man died after gunfire erupted during a police chase following a burglary investigation, Pennsylvania State Police said Monday, Sept. 8.
Scranton Police were investigating a burglary on Sunday, Sept. 7, in which Christian Santiago was suspected of stealing a .30-06 rifle from a relative’s home, troopers said.
After Santiago sent a family member a photo of the rifle and ammunition, the family member voluntarily went to police and obtained an involuntary mental health commitment warrant, according to state police.
