Fatal Carjacking Of US Army Vet, Mom Leads To Murder Charges In Philadelphia
A mom and US Army veteran was killed during a carjacking in Philadelphia, and a 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident, police announced on Thursday, Dec. 12.
Tysean Forsythe, of the 800 block of North 20th Street, is facing multiple charges, including Murder, Carjacking, and Conspiracy, in connection with the death of 47-year-old Heather Rainey on Saturday, June 22, according to police.

Philly Groin Shooting Leaves Man Critical (Developing)
A 60-year-old man was shot once in the groin Philadelphia police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
The shooting happened in the 1200 block of Point Breeze Avenue, Philadelphia around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, the police detailed in the release.
The victim was taken by Medic 35 to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable but critical condition, according to the police.
"At this time, no scene has been located, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered," police wrote in the statement.

Solebury School Mourns Loss Of Beloved Athletic Director Robert Eichem, 45
Robert Howard Eichem III of New Hope died on Feb. 10, 2021. He was 45 years old.
He died at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia “following a sudden onset medical event at his home," his obituary says.
Eichem was known for his positions as both the Director of Athletics and ESL teacher at the Solebury School where he worked since 2001, his obit says.

Montgomery County Native, Casey Rae Gates Dies, 23
Casey Rae Gates of Montgomery County died on Jan. 20, 2021. She was 23 years old.
Born in North Wales, and formerly from Georgetown (Beaver County), Gates worked with Movers Specialty Service up until her death, her obituary says.
Gates' obituary remembered her for her love of digital drawing original emotes and "creating an online space where everyone felt welcome, equal, and not judged.
"She loved to laugh, work hard and there was nothing she could not achieve," the obit reads.
