A Monroe County pair are accused of endangering children and neglecting their pets after police say they were found living in "deplorable conditions" at their Hamilton Township home.
Kevin Connolly, 39, and Amanda Aulito, 33, were arrested on Monday, July 3 and remanded in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to the Monroe County District Attorney's Office and state court records.
The investigation began when county detectives paid a visit to their Colt Lane home on an unrelated matter to " make contact with Amanda Aulito," the DA's Office said.

Poconos Man, 20, Dies After Motorcycle Crash
A Monroe County man has died a week after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle accident, authorities say.
William M. Hill, 20, of Middle Smithfield Township, was pronounced dead on Sunday, May 14, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said in a release.
Hill was riding a motorcycle on Milford Road near Airport Road in Smithfield Township around 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 when he was involved in a crash with another vehicle, the coroner said.

Four people are in police custody — including a mother and her son — after Monroe County authorities say they tried to sell fentanyl to an undercover police officer.
All four were arrested on Monday, April 10 following a months-long investigation that culminated with a controlled drug buy in Stroudsburg, said Monroe County District Attorney E. David Christine, Jr. in a statement.

A wanted driver who rammed six cars during a high-speed police chase in the Poconos has been found guilty, WFMZ reports.
Martin Baboolal, 34, of Henryville, injured two state troopers during the chase between East Stroudsburg and Paradise Township in September 2021 and was taken into custody after striking half a dozen vehicles, the outlet reports citing the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.
