Employee Punched, Put In Chokehold By Man At Great Neck Plaza Dry Cleaners, Police Say
A 33-year-old man is accused of attacking an employee of a Long Island dry cleaners, causing injuries that sent the victim to the hospital. James Orfanos was arrested for assaulting an employee at Alpian Cleaners, located at 4 Welwyn Road in Great Neck Plaza, at about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, the Nassau County Police Department said. Nassau County Man Accused Of Robbing 7-Eleven
A 42-year-old man was arrested after authorities said he robbed a 7-Eleven on Long Island. Danefield Bourne, of Roosevelt, was arrested following a robbery that happened at about 5:40 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13, according to the Nassau County Police Department. NCPD said Bourne entered the store, located at 420 Nassau Road in Roosevelt, and took two 12-packs of beer from the shelf. An employee told Bourne that the store wasn't selling alcohol at that time, and Bourne began to argue with the employee and reached into his back pocket, police said. LI Man Sets Fire To House After Sending Texts To Family Members Threatening Self Harm
A Long Island man threatened "suicide by cop" and ultimately set a house on fire when officers arrived to check on his welfare after his family reported that he had sent them text messages threatening to harm himself. Two LI Officers Bringing Coworker To Urgent Care Break Up Would-Be Violent Altercation
Two off-duty Long Island corrections officers prevented a violent altercation when one of two arguing parties allegedly brandished a knife. Correction Sargeant Kenny Selg and Correction Officer Robert Ragonese were reportedly accompanying a coworker to an urgent care center on Wading River Road in Manorville when they noticed two men on the sidewalk engaged in a rapidly-escalating argument, according to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department.
