Makena Farrell escaped from custody at  480 Clinton Ave., around 2:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, police said. Farrell led a brief foot pursuit and was ultimately captured at Van Vechten Street, authorities said.  Farrell was initially arrested on Thursday, Sept. 14 in the 900 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue for drug-related charges, police said. she is now facing charges of escape, eluding, obstruction of the administration of the law, and burglary.
