Two teenage boys face criminal charges after bringing an inoperable BB gun to a high school in Northern Westchester, police announced.
The two boys, ages 13 and 14, were arrested on Monday, Nov. 13, and Tuesday, Nov. 14 following an investigation conducted by Yorktown Police, the department announced on Friday, Nov. 17.

Orange County resident Junando Dawkins, age 29, of Newburgh was apprehended at the US Army base in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, New York State Police announced on Saturday, March 11.
The body of the victim in the case, 41-year-old Daniel Spotards, was found in Ulster County early Monday, Jan. 2, in the town of Plattekil, on the Campbell Lane extension near Saul Trail.
Spotards was located outside his residence with multiple gunshot wounds.

Two men have been charged with fatally shooting a 17-year-old in Westchester County nearly two years ago, police said.
The shooting happened in Mount Vernon on May 6, 2021, around 10:40 a.m., when police found 17-year-old Anthony Boyd Jr. with gunshot wounds to his chest at 34 South 8th Ave. Boyd was then taken to Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital, where he later died.

Two teens are facing multiple charges after they exchanged gunfire on a public street in Westchester County, police said.
The shootout happened on Wednesday, Dec. 28 around 8:30 p.m., when police in Yonkers responded to Garfield Street where they found one of the teens with a gunshot wound to his leg. Two homeless men who are being held in the fatal hotel shooting of a father of a freshman student who was visiting Marist College in Poughkeepsie on Family Weekend were not placed at the hotel by the county.
