Spano Drops Out Of Senate Race YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will not be running for state senate. Spano, a Democrat, who announced his candidacy last month to represent the 37th district in the seat left vacant by George Latimer's ascension to Westchester County Executive, dropped out of the race Thursday.
