Walmart Issues Massive Recall For Juice Product Sold In 23 States, Including NY
Apple juice sold at Walmart has been recalled due to high arsenic levels.
The US Food and Drug Administration says 9,535 cases of the company's Great Value brand 100 percent apple juice were sold in six-packs of 8-ounce plastic bottles bearing this expiration date: Best if Used by DEC2824 CT89-6, and a UPC code of 0-78742-29655-5.
According to the FDA, the product contains inorganic arsenic above the action level set in industry guidance (13.2 parts per billion).

A wanted fugitive suspected of gunning down a Maryland judge in his own driveway has ties to New York.
Pedro Manuel Argote, age 49, is the primary suspect in the killing of Washington County Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson, who was shot multiple times outside his Hagerstown, Maryland home on Thursday night, Oct. 19.
Wilkinson was rushed to a hospital where he later died, according to Washington County Sheriff’s officials.

Tropical Storm Ophelia is heading inland and northward, bringing heavy rainfall, coastal flooding, and strong winds that extend well beyond its center.
Ophelia made landfall near Emerald Isle, North Carolina, on Saturday morning, Sept. 23.

A recall has been issued for a popular brand of tomato sauce sold at Wegmans supermarkets.
The manufacturer, LiDestri Foods, said 24-ounce jars of Wegmans Italian Classics Diavolo pasta sauce may contain undeclared fish (anchovy).
"People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to anchovy run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.," the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said.
