Man Used Stolen Credit Cards In Islandia, Central Islip, Police Say Police on Long Island are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly used a stolen credit card to make purchases at different stores. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives said the man used the card in Islandia and Central Islip. The purchases were made in September at the Walmart in Islandia and Target in Central Islip in excess of $1,000 police said. Man From Region Stabs Woman In Neck In Eldred, Police Say A man from the region was nabbed after allegedly breaking into a home and stabbing an ex-girlfriend in the throat with a scalpel. The incident took place in Sullivan County in Eldred around 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15 on Pine Ayre Drive. Traffic Alert: Roadway To Close For Building Demolition In Darien Drivers in Fairfield County will need to adjust their travel route for more than a week as a 3-story building is demolished. Corbin Drive in Darien will be closed at Post Road beginning Monday, Sept. 25 through Tuesday, Oct. 3 for the demolition of the building at 10 Corbin Drive, Darien Police said. The road will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Dutchess County resident Anthony Howlett, age 32, from the town of Poughkeepsie, was charged on Thursday, Sept. 21 with criminal sale of a controlled substance. According to Det. Sgt. Son Slices Ellenville Mother's Throat Trying To Kill Her, Police Say A man is behind bars after allegedly slicing his mother's throat in an attempt to kill her in the region, police said. The attack took place in Ulster County in Ellenville around 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21 on Roslyn Street. According to Capt.
