New Update: IDs Released In Wrong-Way Merritt Parkway Crash With 4 Fatalities This story has been updated:  The identities have been released of three of the four people killed in an overnight crash on the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) in Fairfield County.  According to Connecticut State Police, the collision occurred around 1:45 a.m., Thursday, May 9, in Stratford. State Police said a 2016 Honda Civic was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it hit a 2010 Chrysler Country Touring van head-on. Both vehicles burst into flames. Woman Hospitalized After Car Crashes Off Merritt Parkway A woman was hospitalized after her car crashed off the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield County overnight. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 in Norwalk. When firefighters arrived with hospital paramedics and state police, the car, a Hyundai sedan, was found on its side, in a foot of water, between the parkway exit 40A ramp and the 1 Glover Avenue Condos, according to the Norwalk Fire Department.
