A 22-year-old faces criminal charges after they were caught traveling at high speed during an alleged street race on a busy Hudson Valley road, police said. The incident happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Aug. 18, when a Carmel Police officer saw an apparent street race occurring at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road, the department said on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Two Nabbed For Drag Racing On Central Avenue In Greenburgh, Police Say
Two street racers were nabbed by police after their vehicles became disabled from a crash as they fled from police in Westchester. The incident took place on Monday, March 15, when the Greenburgh Police Department officers the two vehicles were initially spotted drag racing on North Central Park Avenue headed southbound, said Lt. Westchester Teen Street Racer Charged With Assault, Reckless Driving After Nearly Striking Cop
A Westchester teenager who was engaged in street racing was arrested after allegedly attempted to flee officers attempting to take him into custody, nearly striking one, police said. Officers from the Yonkers Police Department responded to a stretch of Central Park Avenue at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, where there was a report of drivers engaged in a disorderly car meet in a parking lot.
