Damiano was born in Guardia Lombardi, Italy, on Jan. 7, 1929, to Agostino and Marianna Damiano. He emigrated to the United States in 1966, and was a self-employed landscape gardener in the Westchester area until retiring in 1995. Darien Residents Encouraged To Sign Up For Renters Rebate Program DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien Human Services Department announced that this year's Renters Rebate Program is ongoing and will end on Oct. 1. The program is designed to help seniors and totally disabled Darien residents with residency costs. Applicants for the program must be at least one year as a resident in the state, at age of 65 as of Dec. 31, 2014, or currently receiving Social Security Disability.
