Hooks For Heroes Fishing Tournament In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. – The fourth annual Hooks for Heroes fishing tournament took place on June 20 in Stamford, as more than 150 participants helped raise $10,000 for wounded military veterans. The event, put on every year by the Halloween Yacht Club, has raised more than $30,000 for veterans at Walter Reed Army Hospital. New York Education Department Drops Pearson As Test Partner WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – The New York Education Department has announced that Pearson PLC would no longer be the vendor for the state's standardized exams for grades three through eight. The decision was made after a record number of parents across the state opted to have their children skip exams this spring.
