Comic Con Comes To Ridgefield Library RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Visitors to the Ridgefield Library will get a taste of the Comic Con experience on Saturday as the library will hold their own version of the wildly popular pop culture event. The library will celebrate comics, graphic novels, films, games, science fiction and fantasy literature through the day. Plans include drawing classes, panel discussions, displays, superhero films, various artists showing off their work, and book discussions. Croton Falls Firefighters Leave Parade To Battle Blaze NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – The Croton Falls Fire Department pulled double duty Wednesday night in an unexpected fashion. While in Brewster for the local fire department parade, word came of a fire at a horse farm on Hardscrabble Road. Chief Jason Blauvelt was able to get the group redirected and take out the fire before any major structural damage occurred. It was even more impressive, when according to the department's Martin Aronchick, most members of the department were wearing their dress uniforms underneath their gear.

Scout Andrew Zehall is a candidate for becoming an Eagle Scout, and the food drive is part of his overall project. The Seymour High School senior will be aided by Seymour First Selectman Kurt Miller in collecting items, along with other Boy Scouts and troop leaders.
