SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. Jennie J. Hennessey, a lifelong Sleepy Hollow resident, died Aug. 6. She was 88.
She was born Aug. 1, 1924, to Salvatore and Concettina Bellio Baglieri. On April 12, 1947, she married Frederick J. Hennessey.
Hennessey was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Columbia Hose Co. No. 3 of the North Tarrytown Fire Department. She was retired from J.A. Sexauer and Co.
She is survived by three children, William (Katharine) Hennessey, Johanna Hennessey Dell'Orletta and Lois Hennessey Kyle; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as her nieces, nephews, brother, sisters, aunt, uncle and cousins.
Her husband died on March 15, 1967. A daughter, Mary C. Hennessey, died on July 17, 1998; and a grandson, Frederick J. Kyle., died on Sept. 19, 1992.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, at Dwyer and Vanderbilt Funeral Home in Tarrytown. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Transfiguration Church. Burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
