Just before 3:10 p.m. on Friday, April 19 officers responded to a residence in Riverside after receiving a 911 call reporting a man was assaulting another man with machete, according to Southampton Town Police Detective Sgt. Lisa Costa. Upon arrival, police found a 24-year-old man covered in blood suffering from a head wound. Police tended to his wound until Flanders Ambulance arrived and transported him to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. …

Detectives said Ligia Lopez-Menendez, age 37, went to a friend’s home and pushed the woman’s child before striking the woman in the head with a hammer. Man Fatally Stabs Girlfriend At Their Suffolk County Home, Police Say A man is behind bars after police say he fatally stabbed his girlfriend overnight at their Long Island home. Southampton Town Police responded to 48 Ludlam Ave. in Riverside just after 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10. after an occupant of the home called 911 to report 33-year-old Bayron Fajardo-Gonzalez stabbed Tania Fox.  Fox, 45, was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead where she was pronounced dead., Suffolk County Police said. Fajardo-Gonzalez, 33, was charged with second-degree murder and is due to be arraigned Tuesday, Aug. 11 at Southampton Town Justice Court.
