Sex Offender Harasses 13-Year-Old Girl At East Patchogue Convenience Store, Police Say A convicted sex offender is accused of harassing an underage girl outside a Long Island convenience store. The incident happened in Patchogue, at the 7-Eleven store located near Montauk Highway and Bay Avenue, at around 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Suffolk County Police said 37-year-old Ronald Rios, of East Patchogue, made sexual comments to a 13-year-old girl. When the victim informed Rios of her age, he allegedly continued making sexual comments. Detectives with the Suffolk County Police Department’s Special Victims Section identified the suspect as Rios. John Dowling, age 63, was last seen at the Plainview McDonald’s located at 818 Old Country Road, at around 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21. He was reported missing an hour later. Nassau County Police said Dowling is 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, with gray hair, a gray mustache, and brown eyes. He was wearing a black sweater and blue jeans.
