2 State Troopers Hospitalized After Crash In Upstate NY
Two New York State Police troopers were seriously injured after a weekend crash. It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday, March 23, in Rensselaer County on I-90 in the town of East Greenbush. An investigation determined a tractor-trailer struck the vehicle that the two troopers were in from behind. The troopers were at the scene after responding to an earlier crash. Both troopers were taken to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries, were treated, and have since been released. A 911 call led Connecticut State Police to apprehend a wrong-way driver from New York in Fairfield County who was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. A Hudson Valley man has been charged with allegedly selling cocaine following a raid by a drug task force. The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force began an investigation several months ago related to dangerous drug sales in the city of Beacon. Several Hudson Valley residents experienced temporary power outages as crews worked to repair downed wires on a busy road. Alert Issued For Area 14-Year-Old Missing Nearly Week
Police in the region are asking for help locating a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for nearly a week. Montgomery County resident Diamond Hoover was last seen on Thursday, March 14, and was reported as a runaway, according to Amsterdam Police. Gas Leak Forces Evacuation At Hudson Valley Condo Complex
Several residents and firefighters were evaluated by first responders following a gas leak at a Hudson Valley condominium complex that forced an evacuation. The incident happened on Saturday, March 9 in Putnam County, when a gas leak was detected in a building at The Retreat at Carmel condominium complex, the Carmel Fire Department said on Wednesday, March 20.
